Shree Atma Vallabh Jain Smarak Sikshan Nidhi

An all-India Charitable Trust under the name and style of Shree Atma Vallabh Jain Smarak Sikshan Nidhi was established in 1974. Twenty acres of prime land at 20th Km. point on National Highway No. 1, G.T. Karnal Road, Delhi was acquired to conduct its activities. The Trust went operational in 1984 with the establishment of a Research Institute. The main shrine took 11 years and was completed in 1979-89 and the consecration was performed on 10th February, 1989 in the august presence of Gachhadhipati Acharya Shree Vijay Indradinn Surishwer Ji Maharaj. A number of Cultural, Educational, centres have also been established in this multipurpose complex which is verdant lush green with well laid out parks, pathways and roads. Later, another 2 acres of adjacent land was also added to the complex.

Sadhvi Mrigavati Ji, the SOUL & SPIRIT of Smarak

Sadhvi Shri Mrigavatiji a devoted disciple of Acharya Shree Vijay Vallabh SuriJi Maharaj was beholden unto him as it was he who had encouraged and promoted her to learn Jain Agamas and permitted her to address congregations. She studied Jaina and other contemporary religious literature and became proficient in Sanskrit and Prakrit languages. She was an excellent orator. Her sermons were very thought provoking and effective. She had travelled extensively in the country all on foot, as per Jaina tenets. Her followers included people from all walks of life without any distinction. She provided inspiration for the establishment of this vast Complex for multifaceted activities, In fact the entire project is Her brainchild. She possessed a pleasing personality which radiated love and affection. Even without her asking, devotees would contribute liberally of their own volition for the project. On her directions, thousands of hand written old manuscripts were restored, put in proper order and catalogued. Unfortunately, Mahattra Sadhvi Shri Mrigavatiji left for her heavenly abode midway in 1986 prematurely, leaving the onus of completion on her disciplined disciple Sadhvi Suvrata Shreejji Maharaj. Alas! Mahattraji could live longer to see the multi disciplined/faceted project come through and attain dizzy heights. Vijay Vallabh Smarak is nothing but an expression of the indebted chaturavid shreesangh towards its most venerated Guru Vallabh, defined & honed by Sadhvi Mrigavati Ji.
